Fiebing has been manufacturing high quality leather care and horse care products in Milwaukee, WI, since 1895. One of the first products that Fiebing manufactured was Saddle Soap. Fiebing's Saddle Soap soon became so popular that the U.S. Cavalry at Fort Riley, KS, used it exclusively to clean and preserve their saddles, tack and other leather equipment. Because of the overwhelming use of Fiebing products by the cavalry, the company designed a logo portraying a mounted Cavalryman; the very same logo that is used today.
