Offered is a pair of vintage Sarah Coventry clip, dangle, earrings which were entitled, "Coffee Break" when introduced in the late 1950s. The goldtone design is resembling a cup with handle sitting on a saucer. There is a scroll design on the cup and saucer. The cup has a chocolate brown moonglow cabochon stone set in the center of the cup.
(C) Sarah Cov. The Sarah Coventry jewelry company was founded in Newark, New Jersey, USA, by Charles H. Stuart in November, 1948 (Stuart had founded the Emmons jewelry company earlier). He named the company after his granddaughter Sarah. Sarah Coventry jewelry was sold at home fashion shows until 1984, when the company was sold.
