In 1991, Barbie swept onto the fashion scene wearing a gown of rich green velvet.  Her “jewels” reflected the beautiful red, silver, and green sequins that graced the gathered bodice and sleeves.  She was the first Holidays Barbie Doll to carry an evening bag that complemented her gown.
