Beautifully framed in a finely worked pattern by Keepsake Ornament artist Linda Sickman, this lovely portrayal of the Madonna and Child dates to the 1640s.

Reminiscent of the works of the Renaissance painter Raphael, it depicts an affectionate embrace and reflects the love between mother and child.  The original devotional image by the Spanish artist Jusepe de Ribera, lo Spagnoletto, is in the collection of the Philadelphia Museum of Art.

Ornament is MIB with normal box aging. Has Price Tag.
