The glamorous evening ensemble worn by Barbie (TM) combines two favorite fashions from the 1960s. The original "Red Flare" coat with velvet, and the "Silken Flame" knee-length dress featured a white satin skirt. The bubble-cut hairstyle was new to the Barbie doll in 1960.
