A vintage pair of Crystal Clear Rhinestone Clip Earrings. These gorgeous earrings have round and baguette cut clear rhinestones are pavé set in rhodium electroplate for the elegant look of platinum. Nothing sparkles or is more beautiful than quality vintage jewelry with quality rhinestones and these signed PELL earrings are, without a doubt, no exception. The silver-tone settings have secure clip fasteners that carry the PELL signature.
According to Fred Rezazadeh in his book entitled, Costume Jewelry: A Practical Handbook & Value Guide, 1998, the author states the Pell Jewelry Company was founded by the four Gaita brothers in 1941 in Long Island, New York and the company suspended production during WWII and resumed operations after the end of the war in the mid 1940s. From the beginning, the company produced costume jewelry of very good quality. The earlier pieces employed primarily round and baguette clear rhinestones. Pavé set stones were used in many pieces. The Pell Jewelry Co. made jewelry for Disney (mostly figural pins) and beauty pageants (tiaras). My 1998 reference book states that the youngest brother, of the four founders, is leading the company today.

These earrings appear to be in exceptional excellent condition with no dead, dark, yellowed or missing stones, except through a jeweler's loupe, I can see one missing round rhinestone; hence the price. They have many more years of wear and enjoyment.
Jewelry is placed in a zip-lock plastic bag and a cotton-filled jewelry box before being placed in packaging for shipment.
