Offered is an Apples on White Chip and Dip Platter by The Mane Lion; a company which produces unique pottery pieces. The set features a green apple design with green feather trim around the edges. The figural apples and dip bowl are permanently affixed to the platter. The platter is Italian-crafted by hand, hand-painted and was one of the company's earlier chip and dip platters. (Note the impressed back stamp. The newer back-stamp has their logo).

Made in Italy exclusively for The Mane Lion, a business which began in 1979 in the heart of Philadelphia's fabled Main Line.  This gorgeous figural Chip and Dip was previously sold in a fine store in the USA. The company created a line of charming, hand-painted chip-and-dip serving pieces for a fun, new, fashionable way to present appetizers and hors d'oeuvres.

The Mane Lion personally designed this Chip and Dip platter which is among their prominent assortment of more than 80 chip & dip dishes.

There is a spreader which may or may not have come with this platter, as all that I have seen on-line do not come with spreaders; however, at the estate sale that I purchased this set, a spreader was included.

This gorgeous set has no cracks, hairlines, crazing, or chips, however, there is minor glaze nicks on the top of the dip bowl (see image) and the spreader edge.
