This huge, classic, hand-painted platter / charger features a colorful crowing rooster motif with shades of blue, yellow, mauve, green, and tan colors.  The scalloped border features a blue line and blue dollops of paint.

The rooster is a good luck symbol in Italy and many potters have painted various styles of the rooster on pottery for more than six centuries.
