This vintage Los Angeles California pottery, Maurice Ceramics of California, features a Covered Casserole which will make a lovely addition to your collection of the Blue Rose pattern of dinnerware, circa 1960s.

The creamy white pottery features scalloped and embossed accents with moss blue roses and white flower decals. There is gilt (gold) accents on the feet, the bowl area and around the rim of the lid. The bottom is marked HP 414 Maurice of Calif U.S.A.

The approximate measurements are 7" tall including cover, 9 1/2" wide by 6 1/2" deep.

This vintage casserole has no scratches, cracks, hairlines, but there is heavy crazing. Around a 3" section of the rim of the lid, there are flakes, nicks and chips along which are not as bad as it sounds; actually hard to see. There is a lot of glare from the electrical lights in the images especially along the gold trim.

This is a very nice example of the various types of California pottery; and a great Maurice Ceramics of California piece.
