A vintage modern chrome color photo postcard featuring pioneers and horses pulling covered wagons.
Front: Overland Oregon Trail
Back: Overland Oregon Trail
The trail began at Independence, Missouri; traversed the state of Kansas, Nebraska, Wyoming, Idaho and Oregon. Emigrants to the new land of the Pacific Northwest traveled overland by wagon train, prior to the railroads. The pioneer families usually traveled in large groups, or caravans, to better protect themselves from outlaws, bad weather or hostile Indians.
