Postcard Offered:

An old postcard featuring what looks to be a Tobacco Company to me.  At first I thought this was a hotel, but after checking the translation and seeing the number 1, it appears to be a tobacco company.

(Thin paper - creases - corner and edge chipping and rubs - writing on back.)

Postal Use:

Postmarked from Rotterdam on August 22, 1947.

There is a stamped advertisement in the postmark section which reads:  1847 - 1947 Eeuwfeest Holland Michigan USA with an image of a Church.  It appears that Holland, Michigan, was settled in 1847 and the word Eeuwfeest means centennial 100 anniversary.  Holland, Michigan, retains some ties with the Netherlands. The city was visited by Queen Juliana of the Netherlands in 1952 and while Queen Juliana was still Princess, she received an honorary doctorate from Hope College of Holland, MI, in 1944.

Stamps on PC:

2 Nederland 7 1/2 cent stamps of Queen Wilhelmina.
